After you have booked an appointment

After you book an appointment I will email you, a Medical Form and Consent Form, these need to be completed as soon as possible, so I have all the information required to assess suitability for the treatment.

During your appointment

We will have a full consultation at your appointment to determine your desired outcome and we can discuss any questions you have about the treatment.

Body Sculpting FAQ's

How many treatments will I need?

Results will vary from person to person. A course of 5 treatments is recommended  for optimum results, spaced out a week or so apart. After that you can have a maintenance treatment every 8-10 weeks after your course of treatments. I offer a package of 3 and 5 treatments to give you the choice, and you can save some money by doing the package options.

Do I have to wait at least a week between treatments?

Yes it is recommended to have a week or so between treatments to get the best results - this is to allow the lymphatic drainage process to take place.

How many Area's can I have done at once?

There is a maximum of 3 areas in the one body sculpting appointment - please bear in mind this will be a 3 hour appointment.

How long will it last?

The fat reduction, cellulite removal and skin tightening results can be permanent, if you follow the aftercare advice. For the bum lift if you want to maintain the lift and volume then I recommend to have the maintenance appointments, every 8 - 10 weeks.

Is having a body sculpting / body contouring treatment painful?

Thankfully it is not a painful treatment to have - you will feel some sensations and possibly mild discomfort. I will be checking in with you and I am able to reduce the level on the machine, if you feel anything as uncomfortable.

After the body sculpting treatment - is there any downtime?

The good news is you can carry on your day as normal - you may have some redness on your skin and in very rare occassion's a slight bruising, but that is not usual.

Where are you located?

I am in Glasgow. I have a lovely treatment room, purpose built in my garden and accessed via the side of the house. I am based in Barrhead, Glasgow. I aim to ensure you as comfortable as possible during the treatment and have bolsters to support ankles and knees if required.

Can I go on the Sunbed after a treatment?

Your skin will be a little more sensitive than usual after a treatment, so it is not recommended for at least 24 hours afterwards.

Do I need to exercise and diet?

I do recommend staying hydrated, eating a balanced diet and doing some exercise to see the best results during your course of treatments. However even if you don't, you will still have results from the body sculpting/contouring treatments.

Can I have a treatment while pregnant?

Sorry, but you aren't able to have body sculpting while pregnant. Once you have had your baby, you are able to come after 3 Months (if you have delivered naturally) and 6 months (if you have had a C-Section) The treatment can help with stretch mark reduction, as well as fat reduction.

How long after surgery can I have body sculpting/contouring done?

A 6 week wait is required after surgery, but this could be longer depending on the type of surgery. Please get in touch with me to discuss prior to making a booking.

Getting ready for your appointment

There are some things to consider prior to coming in for your treatment.

Body Sculpting/Contouring Pre-Treatment

  • Please where a thong if having the Bum Lift or Cellulite Treatment - don't worry your modesty will be preserved and I supply a sheet to lie beneath. I will only be exposing the area's I am working on.

  • Avoid a heavy meal and fatty foods 1 hour before treatment

  • Avoid caffeine 2 hours before treatment

  • Avoid any alcohol 24 hours before treatment

  • Avoid having any laser treatments on the area 2 weeks before treatment

  • Avoid excessive sun exposure 48 hours prior to treatment (I cannot treat skin which has been sunburnt)

  • If the skin is red, irritated or broken, I cannot treat until the skin has completely healed

  • The treatment is not suitable for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Please ensure the treatment area is clean shaven prior to your appointment

  • Please remove any body moisturiser, oils, cream from the treatment area prior to your appointment

Body Sculpting/Contouring Aftercare

  • Stay well hydrated for 4 days after the treatment for better results.

  • I encourage light physical activity after treatment to help with lymphatic flow.

Anti-Wrinkle FAQ's

How long do the wrinkle relaxing treatments last?

This will vary from person to person due to differing metabolisms and lifestyle factors. Using sunbeds, smoking, saunas and high levels of exercise can also affect the longevity of the product. In most cases the effect of wrinkle relaxing injections will be 3-4 months.

What happens after the effects of the wrinkle relaxing treatment wears off?

The muscle function will return and be as it was before the treatment. The wrinkles that were reduced and smoothed out will appear again, and no new wrinkles would have formed. You can then come back for another treatment, usually from 3 months onwards.
